This stunning Model A Ford could hardly be termed "Ratty" but it's been built in the style of the classic "Rat Rods" of yesterday and today. The body was completely stripped down to bare metal before an extensive array of repairs and modifications were performed including extensive strengthening of the roof and sides in order to remove the B-pillars and create a seamless look that allows for the door and quarter windows to fit together perfectly. The rear of the body was hand worked in metal and a custom fuel filler and `50 Ford taillights were fitted, the drip rails were shaved, and the rear quarters were modified to allow for the extreme drop and chassis fitment. A custom top panel and frame were installed in place of the original wood-bowed roof. The grille shell was finished off by hand along with the custom windshield visor. The eye-popping gold metal flake paint was formulated and expertly applied by Rob Fagundes then custom pinstriped by Kevin Stevens. The interior and top upholstery work was flawlessly executed by Wall & Eads Upholstery in Fresno, CA. Power comes from a Rochester Tri-Power topped 350 Chevy powerplant with Lake style headers, backed by a Turbo 350 transmission and a 9" rear with Posi Traction. Cap's Coatings in Fresno was responsible for the Cerma-Krome header and exhaust coating and the extensive black powder coating throughout the engine compartment, chassis, and suspension. This show winning Model A rolls on Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with wide whites from Coker Tire.
